Tutino dal 1935, a true gem in the heart of Naples Yesterday, I went out for pizza with a friend of mine. Since he’s an expert, he suggested we go to Tutino, near the station. Walking through the alleys of traditional Naples has an inexplicable charm — you really have to experience it to understand. There are areas and small businesses that aren’t visible to the unobservant eye; you need to explore with an open mind and, if possible, with a local who can show you the authentic side of the city. And so we arrived at Tutino, a pizzeria that’s been open since 1935. Yes, you read that right — since 1935. In Naples, it’s not uncommon for pizzerias to have been around for over a hundred years, but how many can truly offer a pizza worth licking your fingers for? Well, Tutino is one of them. At the entrance, there are three beautiful ovens — two of them already lit, and this was just a Friday lunchtime (you might not know that , at least in the past, pizza for lunch in Naples was not so common, hence usually restaurants or pizzerias close around 3.30pm and reopened by 7.30). Tutino stays open all day, from lunch through dinner, which means they churn out a lot of pizzas. There are no tables on the ground floor, so we went upstairs. Only a few customers were there at the time — the atmosphere was informal, simple, and clean. We ordered our pizzas, and within five minutes they arrived. They looked fantastic. The margherita had a couple of small flaws visually, but nothing that seemed to affect the quality of the product. With the first bite, I already knew my marinara was a winner. What an explosion of flavors — the taste of the tomato was so intense and vibrant, the oil wasn’t overdone, and the whole thing melted in my mouth. A knife was completely unnecessary. It was such a pleasure to eat, and for once, I took my sweet time — bite after bite — almost sad to see it come to an end. At the counter, the bill came to €20 for two pizzas and a bottle of water — fair and honest. After a quick chat and a photo with the staff, it was time to think about the sweet side of the day. Thank you, Tutino— now I understand why this pizzeria has been going strong since 1935! If you're reading my post and planning to visit Naples, skip the lines of the most famous and heavily advertised places, and dive into the authentic atmosphere of those who have mastered their craft for generation and thank me later!

The best basic tomato pizza, here called Marinara, and pizza fritte also great. In this place, they have the real wood fire oven! It brings the last touch to the taste!! Service, discussion with staff also nice!!

The folded pizza is amazing and cheap! €2.50 for the pizza and €1.50 beer. Very quick service and you can sit outside in the sun to eat. I’ve been here about 5 times during my 2 trips to Naples ❤️

We got takeaway dinner here and only paid 11 euro for a wallet (portafoglio) Margherita pizza, diavola pizza, an iced tea and a beer. The pizzas were freshly made, filling, and made very quickly too. We were happy to have found this place on Google maps and tried to go back for another meal the following day, but it was getting cleaned (around 3.40pm) and unfortunately we were in a rush. We ended up getting wallet pizzas from somewhere else but this was the best priced and best tasting!

Pizza is very solid for the location. They also open early so you can pizza it for breakfast. But the stand out is their Neapolitan pasta fritters - creamy, plenty of macaroni and the perfect soft/hard texture.

Got a frittatina (fried macaroni and cheese ball) and a Sprite for only 3.50€ ! It was really good, and lots of locals were coming too. There is a room upstairs but I choose to take out.

There is a line for take away and locals are in there. Don't be afraid because if you ask them to sit down they will take you upstairs. We had tons of bags and they welcomed us with open arms. They even found a table for us to leave our bags next to where we sit...... Also the prices are soo cheap... We orders 5 whole pizza and it was under 40 euro..... Amazing Please give this spot a chance. The area is safe, but shows the true local area. Our recommendation is the pizza frita. (fried calzone) forgot to take a picture because it looked so good

Incredible no fuss pizza - two margheritas and two drinks for €11! Can’t get any better than this really considering the price, the pizza dough was bubbly and light, and the ingredients fresh! It competed (and was even better) than some other, higher-end pizzerias we tried in Naples!

Grade A+ (98): I've been there 4 times, every time I come to Napoli, I have to eat the pizza here at least once, sometimes 3 times in one trip. The best Pizza in the world for me. It takes less than 2 minutes and it's mainly locals that eat here. They are the best. I order 3-4 pizzas and we try them all. I haven't been back since the Pandemic, I have to go back soon.
